BPK and BLS Join Forces for a Beach Clean-Up in Bali
Bali, 17 August 2026 — Celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day is not only about remembering the journey of our nation, but also about taking responsibility for the future we share.
Marking the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Besikan Produksi Konsultasi (BPK) carried out its second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of 2026 through a Beach Clean-Up at Pantai Jerman, Bali, in collaboration with PT Benteng Laut Sejahtera (BLS), a company based in Bitung, North Sulawesi.
The initiative brought together employees and participants from both companies with one shared purpose: taking a simple but tangible action to care for the environment and the communities around us.
Together for People, Planet and the Future
At BPK, our commitment to sustainability is reflected in the principle:
“Together for People, Planet and the Future.”
Through this initiative, that commitment was translated into direct action. Participants worked together along the coastline to collect waste and help maintain the cleanliness of the beach and its surrounding environment.
Beaches are more than recreational spaces. They are part of a larger marine ecosystem, support local communities and livelihoods, and represent a natural heritage that we all have a responsibility to protect.
Every piece of waste collected may represent a small action, but collective and consistent actions can create meaningful impact.

From Bali to Bitung: Collaboration for a Shared Future
This activity also represents something equally important to us: collaboration.
BPK in Bali and BLS in Bitung may operate from different parts of Indonesia, but our responsibility toward the environment is shared.
The collaboration demonstrates that sustainability does not have to stop at geographical or organizational boundaries. By combining participation, awareness, and collective effort, businesses can contribute beyond their day-to-day operations and become part of positive change within society.
Giving Independence a Meaning for the Future
Holding this activity on 17 August gave the initiative an even deeper meaning.
Independence was achieved through unity and collective effort. Today, the same spirit of gotong royong remains relevant as we address new challenges—including the responsibility to protect our environment for future generations.
For BPK, celebrating independence also means taking responsibility for what we leave behind.
Through this beach clean-up, we reaffirm our commitment to continue integrating social and environmental responsibility into our journey.
